Meet the Team
Renovate is comprised of dedicated professionals who have a passion for residential remodeling. They have worked for large companies in the past, but prefer to work for a small company like Renovate where each person is an integral part of the team. We take pride in the work we do and each person on our team understands that the client and the job come first. We are a tight-knit group and we work together to ensure every job is done to our highest skill level. Remodel work is about people – our team and our clients. We communicate, we plan, we deliver
– and we all, to a person, love what we do which shows in the final product.
Amanda grew up in a construction family. Her father worked for decades remodeling homes in San Francisco and Seattle. After spending 13 years overseas on commercial construction projects, Amanda returned to Seattle, founded Renovate Construction, and brought together a team of professionals who love what they do and who bring that energy to each job. Amanda spends as much time as business allows exploring the mountains with her husband, Mike, and their eight-year-old twin girls.

She and her fiancé love being outdoors and are enjoying getting to know the gorgeous Emerald City..
Oleg learned construction from his father, working by his side for ten years. He was taught well, because Oleg has the rare ability to understand building and remodeling from the foundation to the final finish details. He is not only himself a highly skilled carpenter, he is also a meticulous Senior Project Manager, which is why he oversees all of our field operations. Oleg’s calm demeanor and quiet sense of humor are much appreciated by our field team and the clients. Interestingly, Oleg never envisioned himself working in the trades – he is a classically trained concert pianist and was pursing a career in music. He says that if it wasn’t for Renovate, he wouldn’t be remodeling, but what we produce is “art” and he can feed his creative soul.
Tom is a savvy and dedicated designer with extensive experience on residential, commercial, and retail projects. He has a passion for crafting interior environments that are welcoming and functional for our clients and bringing those spaces to life with color and texture, and enjoys delving into the details of interior architecture and cabinetry. Tom grew up on the east coast and has been in the Seattle area for over 30 years. Outside of the office he enjoys painting watercolors of architecture and classic cars and showing them in Seattle venues.
Amanda supports our Design Team, assisting with drafting and rendering, and manages our permitting process. She was raised in the PNW, born in Edmonds and living in Seattle and its suburbs. She has enjoyed drawing and painting since childhood. Having been exposed to several moves and remodels in her parents’ homes around the NW, she fell in love with architecture, remodeling, and interior design. Later in life, she decided to combine these interests and received a Degree in Interior Design from Highline College. Amanda enjoys working on her own home projects, being active outside in her ski boat with her teenage kids and family, camping, running, and taking walks to the beach near her home where she takes her sketch pad for quiet rendering.
Darryl learned the trades from an early age, working in California as a tiler and then becoming a general contractor. He ran his own company for almost 20 years and has over 25 years of experience in construction and is a great communicator. As a Project Manager, Darryl makes sure our field team is keeping to task and our clients are informed. When he’s not working, Darryl spends as much time as he can with his three kids and wife in Lakes Stevens coaching his boys baseball team and playing Barbies with his daughter. His family loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and mountain biking.
Sam learned construction in Arizona from an old school California framer who taught him to build houses from start to finish. After his apprenticeship, he quickly transitioned into high end residential remodeling to hone his finish carpentry skills. Sam is extremely detail oriented and takes pride in his work. In his free time, Sam loves exploring the outdoors with his girlfriend and dog as well as trying out new restaurants in the area.
Jeremiah is a craftsman who apprenticed in Washington after his enlistment in the Marine Corps. He enjoys working for a small business focused on quality, ingenuity, and integrity. He has a been a framer, project manager, and custom fireplace remodeler. Jeremiah enjoys learning new skills and working with a good team. A devoted husband and father of five, his off hours are spent enjoying his family and finding fun wherever it may be.
Ryan learned construction in the highly competitive and demanding residential framing industry in California. He is an excellent framer, carpenter, and all-around remodeler. Ryan’s dedication to perfection makes him a favorite of our clients – he loves what he does and his work shows it. He is a quintessential jack-of-all-remodeling-trades and excels at using his expertise to help everyone around him understand the “how” and “why” details that form the backbone of his top-quality projects. Ryan enjoys spending his off time with his wife, young daughter, and his fishing poles near their new home in Lake Stevens.
Ryan is an excellent carpenter with a can-do attitude. His passion for what he does, and his brimming enthusiasm, drives our projects forward. You’d never guess, but before becoming the carpenter he is today, Ryan worked in the restaurant industry and is a highly skilled chef. He made the transition to carpentry several years ago and has worked tirelessly to achieve the mastery of carpentry that he has today. When Ryan isn’t cooking up success at work, he enjoys practicing his epicurean creations at home.
Pro chef tip: Ryan says that his trick for crowd-pleasing deviled eggs is a hint of butter flavoring. We say that the trick to great renovations is a creative carpenter like Ryan.
Chad moved to Seattle a few years ago from Kingston to be with his girlfriend. He grew up on job sites learning the ups and downs of construction from his best friend’s father. Chad has over a decade of experience in construction. When you meet Chad you’ll see that he is full of energy and always ready to work. He is creative and inventive and takes pride in his work. On his off days he loves exploring the outdoors – rock climbing, skateboarding, and finding any way to enjoy the rare sun.
Jesse moved to Seattle from Bellingham, and we are fortunate that he did. Jesse is a great all-around carpenter and has a good attitude to match his skills. He learned his trade working at a small company helping the owner remodel homes in northern Washington. Having grown up in Eastern Washington, Jesse is a skilled outdoorsman, loves to ride mountain bikes, and spend his time with his girlfriend on various adventures near and far.
Dylan came to Renovate with a love of construction and experience in logistics working in a warehouse and making deliveries with a large box truck. Now he drives our company van (you can’t miss it, it’s yellow), and delivers materials to our jobsites and takes away waste to keep our jobsites safe and debris free. He also helps with demolition and carpentry, expanding his skills. Dylan spends his off hours with his girlfriend, dog, friends, and family.
Mike knows a thing or two about supporting people in the field. As a former combat soldier and Bering Sea crab fisherman, Mike recognizes what it takes to keep a team going. If he’s not helping with demolition and carpentry in the field, he’s maneuvering one of our trailers through the narrow streets of Seattle to deliver supplies or clean the job sites. Mike can back a trailer into almost any spot – it’s truly an act of beauty. When Mike is not working, he is teaching his eight-year-old twin girls how to throw the perfect spiral football and leading them, with his wife Amanda, on various outdoor adventures.
